Saturday, after I finished hanging out with Sally, Stephen and Baby Will, I ran home, dried off (from the sprinkler ball experience) and headed over to hang out with the Critchfields for a special birthday day! Anna Cat was celebrating her 2nd birthday, and sweet Baby Kaitlyn was celebrating her first!

Theresa and John are awesome parents. It's SO fun to watch them interact with their girls. We've had the opportunity to photograph their lives since their engagement, and it's just amazing to see them grow and develop as parents. Theresa is pregnant with their third little girl, and I can't wait for the fall to come so that I can meet her! 

I hope you guys enjoy the chaos that ensues during a double baby birthday party! The slideshow is pretty fun :)

The day started off on a slightly sad note... Kaitlyn was completely ready to be gotten out of her crib. I LOVE how pitiful she is :) Real life :) Getting ready for the party. oooh... a tear :( Kaitlyn lashes... I'm amazed by how much Anna Catherine has grown... it's scary. She's a little girl now, not really a baby at all. Love the light in this room... She's a completely stunning child... I can't get over it. Anna Cat lashes :) Two year old feet... Goodness, what a long long walk. Lots and lots of water balloons... and a second soaking of the day for me :) Anna Cat was pretty excited about the opportunity to throw balloons at people! And water at me :) Very proud parents :) One of my favorites of the day. I love this :) Theresa made the cupcake cake... so cute! Another fav... there is just so much going on in this image! It was a nice change to have two different people to focus on during cake time. This face cracks me up! She DEMOLISHED this cake. Amazing. Adorable. It was amusing to watch Theresa navigate with a completely filthy baby... One year old feet :) This may look like a sweet gesture... but what it actually is, is a search for a little more cake :) My feet were disgusting after this... I wish I had taken a picture of the weird cake residue that was covering me! Pretty, even upside down :) Anna Cat was very excited when she realized that she had ANOTHER cupcake shirt that she could put on. Oh, to be two again... and so easily amused! Birthday party chaos! Happy Birthday!

Saturday morning, I headed up the mountain to spend a bit of time with Sally and Stephen and Baby Will (who's really not much of a baby anymore, but I'm not ready to take away his "baby" status quite yet). 

I love Sally and Stephen. They've become such wonderful friends of ours, and I feel blessed to have them as clients, as well. Will is a typical two-year old. He definitely was in charge of this session :) I think we all needed a nap when it was over!

He looks so itty bitty here... Such a little man :) My favorite part of this image is Sarge in the background. He laid upside down like this for most of the session. Too funny! Little Rockstar. Will and Sally were singing "Everything"... it was so adorable, it actually made me tear up a little! Sprinkler ball :) I got completely soaked trying to get pictures of this thing... Last Thursday (yes, yes, I'm very behind), I headed up to Nashville to photograph adorable Baby Shelby and her amazing parents, Trent and Meghan. I met this amazing family the first time I went to Nashville to photograph Nicole's family, and have been excited about the opportunity to possibly photograph them ever since! 

Baby Shelby is 9 months old and completely adorable. And her parents make me smile. I love how into her they are :) I knew I was in for an awesome session from the moment I pulled up in front of their gorgeous home. 

Trent and Meghan, I can't wait to see you two again. Don't let Shelby get too old before I come hang out again! Enjoy your slideshow!

I love capturing regular life... simple things like playing in the floor... completely beautiful to me. Happiness :) Shelby is at that stage where she wants to walk everywhere, but can't quite walk yet! Trent was very patient to walk her everywhere! :) Goodness, she's beautiful. One of my favorite mom/baby images ever. This needs to be huge on their wall! I love when families enjoy music together. It's so charming. Introducing Kitty. I don't think she liked me. Fun :) Trent is an awesome dad. I was impressed! Fun family image. I'm pretty sure Kitty wants to jump out that window... but sadly, there's a baby in her way :) Ooooh... so cute. Ummm... scary Kitty! But apparently, Shelby is not scared.... just amused :) What a brilliant mess :) Swings are my least favorite thing to photograph... but I do love it when I catch a shot like this one! She's SO beautiful... and no, I didn't do a thing to her eyes. That's just how amazing they are. I'm pretty sure Kitty still hates me. Hmmm... Yep. At the end of the session, Caroline and Kate (Shelby's cousins) came over to hang out for one quick picture. I loved watching Kate read to the younger girls. This one makes me smile. xoxoxoxox!
